My love for the outdoors began at an early age on the water and in the woods alongside my dad. Those early fishing and hunting trips were more than just weekends away; they were hands-on lessons in patience, fish behavior, and the vital role nature conservation plays in keeping our fisheries healthy. Growing up with a fishing rod in hand instilled in me a deep respect for the outdoors and a natural curiosity about how target species interact with their environment. That childhood curiosity gradually transformed into a lifelong calling, shaping how I approach every single day out on the water.

Over decades of fishing, I have spent countless hours mastering the nuances of trolling and casting across New York’s premier waterways. While every body of water has its own unique character, navigating the open waters of Lake Ontario, Cayuga Lake, the Hudson River, and Mexico Bay holds a special place in my career. Understanding seasonal fish migrations, water temperature shifts, structure, and local weather patterns across these distinct regions allows me to consistently put guests in the best position for a successful day. For me, fishing is far more than a pastime—it is a continuous study of local ecology and a complete way of life.

As your guide, my primary focus is to share that rich tradition with you in a welcoming, patient, and educational environment. Whether you are an experienced angler looking to refine your trolling technique or a beginner eager to reel in your very first fish, I aim to pass down the practical skills and conservation mindset my father taught me. I take pride in guiding guests of all experience levels, ensuring everyone feels confident, comfortable, and truly connected to the surrounding environment while making lasting memories on the water.

The Vessel

Your time on the water is spent aboard a 27-foot Penn Yan Cuddy Cabin, a proven and dependable vessel built specifically for handling Great Lakes and river conditions. Powered by a reliable 300HP Mercruiser engine capable of cruising speeds up to 30 knots, the boat quickly gets you to the most productive fishing grounds across Lake Ontario, Cayuga Lake, the Hudson River, and Mexico Bay. Designed with guest comfort in mind, it comfortably accommodates up to four guests, featuring a cozy enclosed cabin to step out of the elements and a spacious cockpit layout with ample seating for active trolling and casting.
