The morning bite delivered consistent rod-bending action for the Gambone group, who traveled up from Pennsylvania for a session on the water aboard the Finhooker. Guided by Captain Mike, the crew targeted key depth zones and put together a strong trip on the lake. The group brought 3 King Salmon and 1 Brown Trout over the rail. The trolling spread kept the crew on their toes throughout the morning, generating seven total hookups—including three hard-fighting fish that managed to shake free before reaching the net. Matching the bait presentation to the morning light and keeping the gear locked in the target water temperatures proved to be the winning formula. This morning’s catch today on the Finhooker with the Sabourin group from NJ & NY. 2 King Salmon, 2 Coho Salmon. We ended up going 4/12 today. Lots of hook up and loses today . Lot of wicked current out there today even though the lake was only 1 to 2 foot waves today. Fish are here and are staging the last 2 days. We are currently fishing in about 150’. I got the Finhooker in the water yesterday, got her rigged up. Went out by myself today at about 1:00 pm back at the dock at 3:30. Boated 2 Nice Brown Trout . The small one I kept for Dinner. The Bigger one was close to 11#, I threw that back to catch for another day. Hopefully we will catch him again. 1 st trip this weekend. Browns are around come take fishing trip on the Finhooker. Nice limit of Brown Trout today on the Finhooker with the Maughan group from Pa. We were 15/22 on Browns today. We did not fish for Lakers. We landed a nice 10# Brown also.
